The owners of a popular resort in Enderby are heartbroken after their resort was struck by vandals on Canada Day long weekend.

In a post on Facebook, the Mabel Lake Resort and Marina said the vandals targeted much of their property including the washrooms, laundry room and Beach Café.

“The thieves stole approximately, $400 cash, then proceeded to damage the Ice cream cooler, destroyed 14 buckets of ice cream, stole one bucket, a few pounds of cheese curds, donuts and other Beach Café items,” the post read.

According to the owners, this is the first case of vandalism in over 35 years.

They are offering a $750 award for any information that may lead to an arrest and conviction.

The owners said the alleged vandals may have been seen carrying cheese curds, a 11.4 litre bucket of ice cream and juice bottles.

They may also have been carrying a new set of binoculars, a speaker, and cash.

According to the post, the vandals left running shoe prints with a star pattern on the bottom and fingerprints.
