Teenager injured in crash

Police are investigating possible charges after a weekend crash near Ellison Elementary in Vernon.
Mounties say a vehicle drove into a concrete barrier and then into a fence in the area of Fulton Road and Okanagan Avenue around 11 p.m. Saturday.
A 19-year-old man driving the vehicle was taken to hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries.
“The officer in this case is still investigating the collision and the events leading up to it,” Vernon RCMP spokesperson Const. Kelly Brett said. “There is a possibility that this young gentlemen could face criminal or Motor Vehicle Act charges for his alleged reckless driving behaviour.”
