Library reopens after evacuation

Update:

The library opened at 10a.m. this morning for its regular hours of operation. RCMP and the Vernon Fire Department were called out to assist at approximately 3:30 p.m. Monday .

There is no word on the nature of the substance found in the book return bins

The Vernon branch of the Okanagan Regional Library has been evacuated and is closed until further notice.
