Coldstream proceeds with road upgrades

Coldstream council gave the green light to $1.2 million in road maintenance projects for this year.

“It is recommended that we proceed with the construction of Briar Drive, Middleton Drive, Juniper Drive, Upper Warren Road, College Way and approximately 700 metres of Reid Road, for a total tendered amount of $1,225,650,” according to a staff recommendation approved by council this week.

Kidston and Learmouth roads will also undergo improvements under separate contracts that are tendered, or will be tendered.

“Any remaining funds from this account would be directed to geotechnical quality assurance, spot repairs as required and 2019 carry forward,” the staff report said.
