Cyclist hit downtown

Police, fire and ambulance have been on the scene of an incident in downtown Vernon this morning.

A cyclist was hit by a vehicle on 34th Street at 31st Avenue at 9:15 a.m., across from Surplus Herby’s.

Witnesses gave statements to officials at the scene.

“Our crews arrived on scene to a cyclist that had low impact from a vehicle. The cyclist was not injured but was assessed by B.C. Ambulance and not transported (for treatment),” Dwight Seymour, Deputy Chief of Operations for Fire-Rescue told Vernon Matters.
