It’s expected to be a blustery night in many parts of BC.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement, forecasting south to southwest winds gusting up to 90 kilometres an hour to develop this evening.
“Most areas will see gusts to 70 or 80 km/h but wind prone areas of the Coquihalla – Merritt to Kamloops and the Okanagan Connector may see gusts as high as 90 km/h”.
The weather agency says motorists travelling on the adjacent highway passes are advised to be prepared for strong wind gusts, especially in wind prone areas.
