New Subdivision Under Consideration
Lumby council is looking to get community input on a proposal for a new medium density subdivision.
David Borden is applying for zoning and O-C-P changes to allow for up to 32 duplexes on four hectares at 1700 Mountain View Avenue.
Mayor Kevin Acton says, if approved, it would provide a large stream of new housing, with three bedroom homes costing under $300,000.
“This really fits into the plan. It’s really important the community is aware of it and they have the ability to come in and talk about it and see what’s going on. The first phase is only five units but the full build out is 32 duplexes in a four hectare area roughly,” Acton tells Beach Radio News.
