The improvement fee at Kelowna International Airport will be rising by 5 bucks  — to 20 dollars — in April.

The funds will pay for 183 million dollars in projects over the next ten years.

That includes a terminal building expansion with a larger departures lounge, a larger domestic arrivals area, and more food and beverage services.

“In addition, Soaring Beyond 2.5M includes rehabilitation of the airside pavement including the runway, the addition of two passenger loading bridges, additional firefighting and snow clearing equipment, and self-serve baggage drop,” says a City of Kelowna media release.
