Two Court Dates In One Day For Suspect

Update: Sagmoen Ordered To Stand Trial

A North Okanagan man has been ordered to stand trial after a preliminary inquiry in Vernon provincial court.

38 year old Curtis Wayne Sagmoen is accused of assault and assault causing bodily harm related to alleged incidents near Falkland last year.

He will be in BC Supreme Court Jan 7th to fix a trial date.

He’s also facing separate charges of uttering threats, discharging a firearm, and disguising his face with intent to commit an offence, which will be in Supreme Court the same day.

Update 5 pm Dec. 10

Curtis Sagmoen’s charges for uttering threats, discharging a firearm while reckless, and disguising his face with intent to commit an offence, have been put over to Jan 7, 2019 in BC Supreme Court to fix a trial date.

A North Okanagan man is in Vernon provincial court today for a hearing to determine if the Crown has sufficient evidence for a trial.

The preliminary inquiry for 38 year old Curtis Wayne Sagmoen is on charges of assault and assault causing bodily harm.

Sagmoen is facing several charges in relation to alleged incidents in 2017 near Falkland.

Last month, a provincial court judge rejected his request for bail on separate charges where he allegedly threatened a woman with a firearm while disguising his face.

He is in BC Supreme Court on those charges today to fix a date.
