Dec 10, 2018 | 5:00 AM

Update Dec. 10

A water quality advisory issued last week by the Regional District of North Okanagan and Interior Health for customers on the Silver Star Water Utility has been lifted.

The advisory was issued Friday due to a water treatment malfunction at the Mid T Water Treatment Plant, and concerns some water may have  entered the reservoir untreated.

RDNO issued an update Sunday night, saying the Mid T Water Treatment Plant has returned to normal operations.

Dec. 7

A water quality advisory has been issued for customers on the Silver Star Water Utility in the Regional District of North Okaangan.

RDNO says due to a water treatment malfunction at the Mid T Water Treatment Plant, some water that entered the reservoir was untreated.

The chlorine system was working properly at the time, but as a precaution, staff will be flushing the water that was not treated

When this water has been replaced by U-V treated water, the Advisory will be lifted, likely by Sunday.
