The shelves of the Vernon Food Bank will be stocked for several months after another successful Realtor’s Food Drive.
The 41st annual event Wednesday night saw 36-thousand pounds of food collected by realtors and other volunteers from homes in Vernon and Coldstream.
“It was slightly less than we gathered last year, but last year being the 40th annual, I think we pushed a little bit harder, but realtors are very grateful that people were putting food out for us to gather, and we just want to say thanks to the community for making it a great event, ” says event spokesperson Robin Baycroft.
Baycroft says it was a great response by all the brokerages in the area.
