Guns Drawn, False Alarm

Witnesses say police had their guns drawn as they stopped a motorist near the Fruit Union Plaza across from Polson Park Sunday afternoon, but it turned out to be a false alarm.

Mounties say the call came in as a road rage incident where someone had allegedly pointed a firearm at another vehicle.

“A high risk vehicle stop was conducted, however through further investigation, the allegation was proven false and driver was allowed to proceed,” says Cst. Kelly Brett in an email to Beach Radio News.
