City Ready For New Highway Signs
Armstrong is working with the Ministry of Transportation to choose new highway entrance signs into the community.
Mayor Chris Pieper says there are at least 50 different options for the service and attraction signs, but council has narrowed it down to two which will be referred to the Chamber of Commerce for input.
“I never dreamed there was that many kinds of signs you could put at the entrance to a community,” Pieper tells Beach Radio News.
Pieper says they want to include things like shopping, museums, and info centres on the signs, which will replace outdated ones.
