Single Family Lots Approved For Coldstream

There was some opposition, but in the end, Coldstream council has given the go ahead for more homes at 7608 Coldstream Creek Road.

The owner was approved for a development permit to demolish an existing home, subdivide the property into 14 single family lots, and construct a single family dwelling on each lot.

The property is located within a Farm Protection Development Permit Area (DPA) and a Greenhouse Gas reduction DPA.

Council has called for enhanced vegetation buffers and fencing on two lots, and the homes will have to incorporate “green” designs, such as using “green” roofs, living walls and other measures to reduce heat gains caused by hard surfaces.
