Drama In BC Leg, MLA’s Keeping Quiet

Nov 20, 2018 | 2:00 PM

At this point there are more questions than answers after it was revealed two officials at the BC legislature are under investigation by RCMP for a criminal matter.

NDP House Leader Mike Farnworth introduced a motion today that said clerk Craig James and sergeant-at-arms Gary Lenz were being placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.

The sergeant-at-arms maintains order in the house, while the clerk keeps a record of what goes on in the legislature.

Both men were escorted out of the building, and James told the media,  he has no idea what the allegations are about.

When contacted by Beach Radio News, Vernon Monashee Liberal MLA Eric Foster said he could not comment on the matter.

“I don’t know anything,” said Foster. “We’ve been instructed to tell anybody that asks, you have to call the Attorney General’s office. That will be the answer you get from everybody.”
