City Hunts For Solution to Aggressive Coyotes
Aggressive coyotes are not the City of Vernon’s problem, but city staff are going on the hunt to find out how the wild animals can be managed.
Vernon councillor Dalvir Nahal says there have been numerous complaints to the city about the coyotes, especially in Okanagan Landing.
She says plenty of people walk their dogs around Marshall Field and she doesn’t want to see any conflicts develop.
“We had an email from a lady who said that the coyote was quite aggressive towards her and her dogs,” Dalvir told Beach Radio News on Tuesday. “We want to ensure we are doing everything possible to avoid any (conflicts).”
