Recycling Options Under Discussion

The Regional District of North Okanagan is still looking over options for its recycling program.

RDNO’s current contract runs out at the end of the year, and the operator says they don’t have the markets, with some plastic products now just going into landfills.

Director Hank Cameron says RDNO staff is working on finding other markets, but so far, no deals have been reached.

“The staff is already working on the concept of finding other customers, destinations for recycling material, but so far , we haven’t got a deal yet,” says Cameron, the Electoral E director for Cherryville.
