Larger Crowds Expected For Remembrance Day

The crowds are expected to be bigger for Remembrance Day services this year, given that it’s the 100th anniversary since the end of World War One.

Vernon’s ceremony will be held at Kal Tire Place Sunday.

It’s being put on by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 (Vernon) in partnership with the City of Vernon.

“In addition to paying respect to the brave men and women who have given their lives on behalf of Canada in combat and due to combat-related injuries, this year’s observance marks 100 years since the signing of the armistice at 11 a.m. on November 11, 1918, which ended World War I,” says a City release.
