Vernon’s Most Dangerous Crash Sites

It doesn’t come as a major surprise which intersections are considered Vernon’s most dangerous.

Just driving around the city, you can see where the trouble spots are, usually coinciding with where the highest traffic counts are.

The numbers are based on ICBC accident statistics between 2013 to 2017.

25 Avenue at 32 Street at Fruit Union Plaza is number one with 179 crashes, 32 Street at 43 Avenue by Vernon Square is next with 172, and 27 Street at 48 Avenue is third with 158.

The fourth worst has been in a news a lot: it’s Highway 97 at Stickle Road with 94 crashes.

The 10 most dangerous intersections in the Southern Interior are all in Kelowna lead by Harvey Avenue at Spall Road with 551 crashes and Harvey Avenue and Dilworth Drive with 521.
