Sagmoen Bail Hearing Postponed…Again.

It appears that Curtis Wayne Sagmoen won’t find out until later this month if he will be granted bail for a number of serious charges he is facing.

Crown counsel and Sagmoen’s defense lawyer presented lengthy submissions to Judge Jeremy Guild in a Vernon courtroom Thursday. These, as in the past 2 days, are under a publication ban.

The judicial case manager will get Sagmoen’s file on Nov. 7 to fix a date for Judge Jeremy Guild to make his decision.

Guild said he needed time to review the submissions.

Sagmoen is facing a number of charges involving alleged acts of violence against women from the North Okanagan and Maple Ridge .

Sagmoen allegedly threatened a sex trade worker with a firearm near Falkland last year which resulted in facing numerous charges.

Once again, as in the past two days, a group of people banded together outside the courthouse, to rally in support of missing North Okanagan women, which include Ashley Simpson, Caitlin Potts, Nicole Bel and Deanna Wertz,

Also no charges have been laid in the death of 18-year-old Vernon woman Traci Genereaux, whose remains were found on the Silver Creek farm owned by Sagmoen’s parents.

Court records state that Sagmoen is also being held on charges stemming from a violent assault on a female in Maple Ridge. What that means is even if he is granted bail today on the local charges, he will remain in custody on the Maple Ridge alleged assault,
