Suspect Sought in Attempted Bank Robbery

RCMP are hoping the public can help identify a suspect in an attempted robbery at the RBC in Kelowna’s Mission Tuesday evening.

A man entered the bank on Pandosy Street just before 5 pm, gave a note to a teller which demanded cash.

He left without getting any, and police are now hoping someone got surveillance or dash cam video of the suspect.

“The suspect was described to police as a Caucasian male, in his 30’s with a dark trimmed beard and moustache,” says Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey. “He was seen wearing a grey Under Armour baseball cap, a pair of aviator style sunglasses with dark lens, a black coat over a grey hoodie and a pair of black gloves.”

O’Donaghey says no one was injured in the incident.

“A search of the area was conducted by our officers, however was unsuccessful likely due to the time delay.”
