Update

A North Okanagan man facing firearms and threat charges, will have to wait longer to see if he’ll be released from custody.

A bail hearing for 38 year old Curtis Sagmoen started Tuesday in Vernon provincial court, but was put over to Oct 31st for Crown submissions.

Sagmoen was ordered to stand trial Tuesday on charges of pointing a firearm, uttering threats, and disguising his face with intent.

A woman says she was the victim of the alleged incident on Salmon River Road near Falkland in August 2017.

Curtis Sagmoen has been ordered to stand trial on charges connected to an alleged altercation with a woman at a rural site in the North Okanagan.

The 38 year old is accused of pointing a firearm, uttering threats, and disguising his face with intent, at a rural property near Falkland in August 2017.

Police say the incident occurred near the Sagmoen’s farm on Salmon River Road.

The farm is where the remains of 18 year old Traci Genereaux were found last year, but no charges have been laid in her death.

Sagmoen is back in Vernon provincial court today, possibly to set a date for a bail hearing.

He also faces other court dates for separate, alleged offences.
