Armstrong Man Dies From Crash Injuries

Jun 22, 2018 | 12:47 PM

An Armstrong man has died from injuries sustained in a single vehicle rollover on the 2800 block of Enderby-Mabel Lake Road last Monday.

Corporal Yannick Lescarbeau, RCMP spokesperson, says police officers as well as fire and ambulance crews were dispatched to the scene of the collision shortly after 4:40 p.m. on June 18th.

He says the vehicle was travelling west, past Hupel, when it failed to properly negotiate a curb, which caused the driver to lose control before striking a tree and rolling several times into an embankment.

The two occupants were transported to nearby hospitals with serious injuries.

“We are now investigating a fatal collision as, unfortunately, the 59 year old passenger did not recovered from his injuries and died in hospital,” says Lescarbeau.

An RCMP collision analyst attended the scene following the crash and investigators interviewed several witnesses.
