RCMP Quick To Respond To School Threat

RCMP say they’re confident there are no further known threats to Salmon Arm Secondary School following an incident this week.

Police say they were notified Wednesday about a potential threat made on social media.

RCMP in Kelowna and Salmon Arm worked with school districts in Kelowna and Salmon Arm to identify the source of the threat.

A student under the age of 18 was taken into custody yesterday morning as the individual arrived at school.

He was not armed and police say no weapons were located during their investigation.
