Locals Recognized For Service

Two North Okanagan residents are among this year’s BC Community Achievement Awards recipients.

The awards honour dedication and generosity to make communities a better place.

Min Sidhu of Vernon and Pete Wise of Coldstream are among the 25 honourees for 2018.

They will be recognized in a formal ceremony at Government House in Victoria on April 25th.

Each will receive a certificate, and a medallion designed by BC artist Robert Davidson.

An independent committee selects the recipients.

The 2018 selection committee members are Mayor Lyn Hall of Prince George, Mayor Josie Osborne of Tofino and past recipients, Garry F. Benson of Kelowna, Karen Gilmore of Vancouver and David Young of Vancouver.
