Fires To Vehicles Believed To Be Arson

Damage to three vehicles over the weekend is being called a case of suspected arson by Vernon RCMP.

“During the early morning hours of Saturday, the Vernon RCMP were advised by Vernon Fire Services they were on scene battling a suspicious vehicle fire located in the 7200 block of Okanagan Landing Road (Strand Lakeside Resort). Officers arrived on scene to find the fire extinguished with a total of three vehicles being damaged as a result of the fire,” says Cst. Kelly Brett.

Brett says the cause is believed to be suspicious as a white Dodge pick-up appeared to be the target vehicle, with the two other vehicles being damaged due to proximity.

No one was injured as a result of the fire and the file remains under investigation.
