Wild Slip By Snakes In Nailbiter

Wenatchee Wild have narrowed the Vernon Vipers lead in the BCHL’s Interior division semifinal series to 2 games to one.

The Wild’s Sam Hesler scored in the final minute of regulation time last night in Wenatchee to lift the Wild to a 4 – 3 victory over the Vipers.

Wenatchee set the tone in the first period with power play goals by Cooper Zech and Sam Morton.

Keyvan Mokhtari got the Vipers on the board with 14 seconds to go in the opening frame.

The Snakes went ahead in the second with Michael Young scoring and Niko Karamanis potting a power-play tally to make it 3-2 Vernon going to the third.

The Wild’s Nathan Iannone tied it up and the game appeared to be heading for overtime when Hesler got the winner at 19:03.

Austin Park made 21 saves for the win.

Ty Taylor turned aside 42 shots for Vernon.

Game 4 goes tonight at 7:05 p.m. in Wenatchee.
