Community Seeks Ideas To Attract Visitors
The Lumby Chamber of Commerce is looking to use a provincial grant to help stimulate its economy.
The group is using funds from the Rural Dividend Program to launch a launching a research and development process to determine community projects that could befit the village.
“The goal is to identify a number of projects that will attract and retain visitors and tourists to the area,” says Lumby and District Chamber of Commerce President Bill Maltman. “We will be undertaking a consultation process with businesses, elected officials, recreational and non-profit groups as well as asking the public for their ideas,” he added.
