Public Favours School Reno
The Vernon School Board has wrapped up its public consultation on the future of Charles Bloom Secondary School in Lumby.
Chair Kelly Smith says 76 responses came in, with the majority favouring a major renovation of the school and upgrades to Cherryville and J.W. Inglis Elementary Schools.
Most of the concern in the comments that came back centered on the cost of renovations, if any program options might be lost and if there would be focus on extra space for a state of the art trades facility.
The Board has yet to fully discuss the report and make a recommendation to the Education Ministry.
