Feb 23, 2018 | 1:06 PM

A preliminary inquiry will be held into a fatal car surfing incident in Vernon.

Byron James Walterhouse is facing three charges after 27 year old Justin Martyn of Spallumcheen died in June 2016 after a car he had been “roof-surfing” on, went off Tronson Road and rolled.

The 41 year old suspect is accused of dangerous driving causing death, criminal negligence causing death, and failing to stop at an accident causing death.

A preliminary inquiry to review evidence in the case is set for Sept. 17 in Vernon provincial court.
