Search For ‘G’ Ends

The husband of a Vernon woman who disappeared while scuba diving off Puerto Vallarta has left a short, but touching message on his Facebook page.

David Chambers, owner of DCT Chambers Trucking, posted: “The search for G has ended.”

G is his wife, Gloria Miller, who could not be found after searchers, including a helicopter, hunted in Banderas Bay for her body since she disappeared last Thursday.

Chambers post included the first four lines to the song “You Are My Sunshine” and a note that a memorial is to be announced.

Several people have also posted their condolences.

Philip Hannan, a spokesperson for Global Affairs Canada, says consular officials are providing assistance to the family in Canada and Mexico during the difficult time.

He says the search is still ongoing.

“Our thoughts are with the family and friends anxiously waiting for news. Canadian consular officials are in contact with local authorities in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico who are actively searching for the missing Canadian,” Hannan tells CJIB News.
