Vipers Star Celebrates Milestone

Feb 19, 2018 | 9:15 AM

Vernon Vipers star Jagger Williamson got an assist in Sunday’s 4 – 1 victory over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs as the Vipers wrapped up a three game road trip in Port Alberni.

But the game provided him with another stat – a milestone 200th regular season game.

“I’m pretty honoured. Honestly, my first goal was just to make the team. Look back, 3 – 4 years later and 200 games. It’s crazy.”

The Vipers goals yesterday came from Michael Young, Brett Stapley, Jesse Lansdell and Jimmy Lambert.

Anthony Yamnitsky got the win in the nets, making 26 saves of 27 shots.

The Vipers are off now until Friday night at 7 when Wenatchee is in town.

You can hear all the action on BDM Motorsports Vernon Viper Hockey here on Beach Radio at 7 p.m. with Graham Turnbull.
