Green Light For ALS Walk

Feb 16, 2018 | 4:25 PM

The 2018 Vernon Walk for ALS is a go.

The event’s committee met for the first time on February 15th to plan for the Walk which will take place on Saturday June 9, 2018 at Polson Park.

The Walk was in jeopardy due to the lack of volunteers, but organizers say the community answered when the call for help was sent out by the local media.

“I am thrilled to meet our new volunteer WALK committee,” says Wendy Toyer, Executive Director ALS Society of BC. “Without their support we could not hold a WALK for ALS in Vernon.  This event is part of a nationwide effort to raise funds to support people living with ALS and the ALS Canadian Research Program.”
