Mr. Mikes Gets Approval For Patio

One of Vernon’s newest restaurants will be allowed to open a seasonal outdoor patio.

City council has granted a variance to reduce the minimum number of parking spaces from 52 to 43 — and reduce the from yard setback — for Mr. Mikes on 32nd Street, next to the Vernon Lodge.

That will allow the owner to have a 52 seat patio during the summer at the front of the business, next to the highway.

The restaurant plans to open next month.
