Lumby and Splatsin Sign Agreement
The Village of Lumby and Splatsin First Nation have announced the signing of a protocol agreement which outlines a working relationship between the two governments.
“The purpose of the agreement, and the overall intention, is for the two communities to enter into a more formal arrangement, respecting a long term cooperative relationship,” says a release from the village.

“We’ve worked with the Splatsin for a number of years through the community forest and other projects. We’re working with them on the (rail) trail through to Sicamous right now as well, so they’ve just been super partners and we’ve had some amazing successes together so we’re just sort or finalizing some agreements on paper so that we have some history,” Acton tells CJIB News.
