Housing Project Planned Near Park and School

An open house is going to be arranged into a housing development proposal for Quirk Drive in Coldstream.

The project would see about 77 units put on the property that runs along side Creekside Park from Kalamalka Road.

Mayor Jim Garlick says council couldn’t go along with an amendment to the Official Community Plan without putting it to the public.

“And probably a lot of people don’t even know about it. They just think it’s a driveway, which it is at the moment, into a house. It’s an isolated property.”
