One Injured In School Bus Collision

A school bus was involved in a crash in Tappen Valley, north of Salmon Arm, Friday afternoon.

School District 83 Superintendent Peter Jory says the bus was involved in a minor collision with another vehicle when the bus was stopped on Cemetary Road.

“As a precaution one student was taken to hospital by ambulance to be checked out,” says Jory. “Another bus was called to take the remaining students home. Parents were called and informed about the accident.”

RCMP are investigating the incident.

Jory is thanking local emergency services like the RCMP, volunteer fire department, ambulance service and road services for their help with the incident.
