Big Show Planned For BX Halloween Fireworks

Oct 30, 2017 | 9:04 AM

The BX Swan Lake Fire Department is expecting an increase in spectators for its Halloween fireworks show tomorrow night.

Fire chief Bill Wacey says they’ll see more people as Coldstream won’t have fireworks due to the damage to the Kal Lake Pier.

“We usually get around anywhere from 1500 to two thousand as an average crowd but I`m thinking we`ll be pushing probably three anyway.“

The fireworks will be lit-off from behind the firehall on Silver Star Road starting at 8 pm.

Wacey says they are ready for the extra crowds, and will be featuring the new type of fireworks.

“They have different components made up of them now. It`s not just that they go up and burst out. They have a couple now that are four stage. They just keep going off, going high and blowing and as they keep coming down blowing. They have some now as they burst, you might have seen them last year at Canada Day, they come out as a heart shape. So, according to the supplier, he has some really cool stuff that he`s giving to us.“

Lavington will also have a show, along with Armstrong, Enderby and Lumby.
