Armstrong Thinking Snow
The City of Armstrong is already gearing up for winter.
At some point, the snow will fall and Armstrong Council this week got an update on its public works budget.
Mayor Chris Pieper says the heavy snowfalls from earlier this year didn`t burden the budget much.
“Òur budget for 2017 ends December 31st. We don`t pass our other budget until the spring so we can almost do it on cost.“
Pieper says there is money in reserve for emergencies if need be.
In the meantime, staff have been directed to come back to the next council meeting with level of service standards for snow removal this winter.
Mayor Pieper says much of the expectations in the past has been verbal.
