New City Tourism Position

Tourism has been growing the last few years in Vernon — which has the City adding a new position.

Council has passed a staff recommendation for early budget approval to create a full time tourism coordinator funded by the hotel tax which is charged to hotel and motel guests.

Council is also looking into adding an administrative clerk position for next year, funded by the hotel tax and the economic development budget.
