Holy Sheep! IPE Announces New Theme
The Interior Provincial Exhibition isn’t ‘sheeping’ its new theme a secret any longer.
The board of directors says next year’s fair will celebrate their Sheep division – with the slogan “Sheep Thrills at the IPE 2018.”
General manager Yvonne Paulson says each division will honour the theme, with sheep shearing, sheep demos, and perhaps even a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
The 119th IPE will be held Aug. 29 to Sept. 2, 2018.
Paulson says this year’s fair had 7,395 exhibits ranging from livestock to hobbies and crafts.
“The Armstrong Fair is recognized as the largest agricultural fair in British Columbia. It features an incredible range of exhibits, ranging from livestock (cattle, horses, sheep, swine, goats, llamas) to horticulture, to hobbies and crafts, to domestic skills, and more.”
The event attracted 151-thousand people over five days.
