Armstrong Lifts Part Of Fire Ban

The City of Armstrong has lifted its fire ban for cooking purposes, as of noon today.

That was based on a recommendation from fire chief Ian Cummings due to cooler weather and higher humidity.

“We remind community members that campfires are not permitted within the City of Armstrong,” says Warren Smith, manager of community services. ”

Smith salso says the open burning ban will  continue until further notice.

“We appreciate the patience and efforts of our community members in keeping our community safe during the extended ban.”
