IIO Sends Lavington Crash File To Crown Counsel

An RCMP officer could be facing charges after an investigation into a traffic accident in Lavington in August of last year.

An RCMP vehicle collided with a motorcycle carrying two people on Highway 6 near Brewer Road.

A 46 year old man and a 25 year old woman on the bike were injured, but there injuries were not life threatening.

The Independent Investigations Office has now wrapped up its review of the case and has forwarded a file to Crown Counsel for consideration of charges.
