No Big Issues With STOMP

Jul 25, 2017 | 7:23 AM

RCMP in Sicamous are pretty happy with the way the STOMP motorcycle rally this past weekend turned out.

They had 52 calls for service, mainly noise and traffic.

Only one person was arrested for public drunkenness.

RCMP credit the private security staffing the licenced areas for making sure no alcohol was taken out of them.

Two drivers got 24 hour prohibitions after they were found to be under the influence of drugs.

One motorcyclist got a ticket for driving without due care and attention after trying to pass another vehicle on a double solid line and then hit a rock wall.

He was injured and wound up in hospital in Kelowna with non-life threatening injuries.
