The MLA for Shuswap says he doesn’t have a problem with the NDP raising welfare rates, and maintains the Liberal’s were planning to do the same thing.
Greg Kyllo says the NDP’s plan to boost disability and income assistance by 100 dollars a month, was in their revised throne speech.
“Where our party may differ, is that the BC Liberals believe strongly that those that have the ability to work, we should be doing everything we can to assist them with getting the skills training they require in order to get a job.”
Kyllo says he would be very surprised if the NDP minority government — propped up by three Green Party MLA’s — lasts four years.
