Vernon Adds Staff For Infrastructure Growth

The City of Vernon will be adding another staff member — but it may not be permanent.

Council approved a full time position to the Community Infrastructure and Development Services Division.

Mayor Akbal Mund says it’s needed due to the work load.

“Two years ago we were doing about seven million dollars. Next year we’re going to be doing fourteen million dollars worth of infrastructure work. We can’t do that if we don’t have the staff to go through all the particulars.”
