Update: 3 pm

RCMP are treating the death of a man found in a Vernon apartment as suspicious.

Officers were called to the Sundance Suites on 43rd Avenue this morning, and found a man dead in one of the units.

Officers along with a police dog unit have been on the scene, and have been conducting neighbourhood inquiries.

No suspects have been arrested.

“No further information is available at this time,” says Cpl. Dan Moskaluk, who was not aware of the dead man’s age.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171 or Crimstoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

That apartment was also the scene of a stabbing back in May that injured a 45 year old man, with no suspects arrested.

Police have been on the scene of an incident at a Vernon apartment complex.

Mounties were called to the Sundance Suites in the 2900 block of 43rd Avenue, and there have been several police vehicles on the scene.

No word yet what the call was for.

That same apartment was the site of a stabbing on May 15 which caused serious injuries to a 45 year old man.

No suspect has been arrested from that earlier incident.
