Minister Cancels Vernon Visit

A top member of the Trudeau Liberals has had to cancel a meet and greet in Vernon tonight.

Defence Minster Harjit Sajjan was to have attended a North Okanagan Shuswap Liberal Association function at Janda Farms on Old Kamloops Road, but a member of his staff says they had to call it off.

“He had a cabinet call and some other things that came up, and we wouldn’t have the transit time to travel from Osoyoos to Vernon, so we unfortunately had to cancel yesterday,” staff member Ben Berman tells Kiss FM.

The minister is scheduled to visit the Vernon Cadet Camp Friday afternoon, but that is not open to the general public.
