Crews called to tractor fire on farm

Vernon Fire Rescue was called to a farming field in the south part of the city to douse a tractor on fire.

The incident on 585 Commonage Road was first reported at 12:10 p.m. Monday (Sept. 14).

Fire Rescue personnel said while there was lots of black smoke, the fire was not spreading to the grass and the fire was extinguished.

It’s not believed there were any injuries.
