It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, brother, father and grandfather Garry Sheane. Garry died peacefully in care at Hospice House in Vernon, BC at the age of 70 after losing his fight to cancer on December 14, 2020. He leaves behind his loving wife Margo (Reid) Sheane and his children: Tracy (Jim) Coombs, Eugene (Leann) Gillich and Tammy (Daren) Gillich & grandchildren Ryan, Alex, Wil & Mikayla.
Born May 1, 1950 in Virden, Manitoba the second child of Orville & Eileen Sheane. Garry is predeceased by his parents and oldest brother Ralph (Heather) and will be missed by remaining family in Manitoba including sister Kathy (Rick) Cote, brother Rodney (Yvonne) Sheane along with many nephews and nieces.
Garry was a quiet, gentle man of few words with a heart of gold. He had a love for humans and animals of all sizes, especially horses which he built his career and business shoeing as a Farrier for 40 years. Garry and Margo married August 29, 1992 and they built their life together in New Westminster, BC. They shared a love for golf with a longstanding memberships at Hazelmere Golf & Tennis Club, strolls down the Boardwalk to Starbucks and road trips to the Okanagan as well as across the prairies visiting family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family invites you to make donations in Garry’s honour to the BC Cancer or the North Okanagan Hospice Society.
